Makeup Artist Anni Bruno Anni arrived on the New York scene in 2002 and has been doing makeup in and around the city for the past eleven years. In that time, she’s had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, spanning weddings, fashion, portraits, theatre, and film.

In 2011, she co-founded Brooklyn Betrothed along with a group of other like-minded Brooklyn-based wedding experts.

Anni is based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where she resides with her husband, Chris, her two cats, Sprout & Roxie, and her wonderful little dog, Phoebe Cates.

    A new rock-opera in the NY Fringe Festival and NYMF. Designs included glam rock stars, exotic dancers, and vagrants.
  • “Lost” – Inverse Theater, NYC (2003)
    A new musical in the NY Fringe Festival, and later at the Connelly Theatre. Design included witches, fairies, ghosts, and monsters.
  • “The B-File” – Triple Play Theatre, NYC (2002)
    Design was to make 5 similar-looking actresses vary drastically in age and health.
  • “Gommorah” – Triple Play Theatre, NYC (2002)
    A biblical play using standard makeup as well as special effect work (injuries).
  • “The Inventors” – National Theatre for the Performing Arts, NYC (2002)
    Design and daily application for national touring cast of eight, including special effects (aging, prosthetics).
